Parts multiplication
3D scanning is the technology of digitally scanning physical objects and parts. It is a technique for creating the exact digital twin of any object.
The digital image obtained by 3D scanning (triangular mesh model) can be used as a basis for rapid prototyping, 3D printing, CNC control, quality control and reverse engineering. The latter is an engineering process where, after digitising existing parts or bodies, a parametric CAD model is created by processing the point cloud of the object. Reverse engineering can be used for redesign and remanufacturing purposes in all cases where technical documentation is not available for the part. In this way, the process is suitable for archiving purposes, for remanufacturing old parts and worn-out tools.
We provide professional 3D scanning and reverse engineering modelling services through our skilled professionals.
3D design, digitalisation
CNC machining is a so-called subtractive, material separation manufacturing technology. It is entirely computer-controlled, where the material is gradually removed from an initial block of material or sheet by a high-speed rotating milling head. From these negative spaces, the final geometry of the manufactured part is formed.
The advantage of the technology is that it can be used to machine a wide range of materials, such as metals and plastics, and that the machining can be done with high production quality and precision. Its disadvantages are that it requires a relatively high level of skills and that its productivity is limited.
Industrial design
Trust us with your complex product design and prototyping projects and you can be sure that your products will meet any manufacturability criteria.
Trust our decades of experience! We are a company of qualified professionals who undertake the complex preparation of industrial product and design projects, from market analysis and needs assessments, through design concepts and visualisations, to CAD modelling and prototyping.
We ensure a perfect match between design and prototyping by covering both competences in-house with our own experts.
We bring a strong production-oriented approach to your product design projects, so that the design process is optimised in terms of time and cost.
Our work meets international standards, at the same time we offer highly competitive project prices for your product development needs.
The first step in the preparation of a product development process is to define precisely the requirements of the target consumer group based on the preferences of the target consumer group for the product, as the success of the product depends on how effectively it can respond to the consumer demand. When examining the target group, we need to know the preferences and decision-making habits of the future users of the product, which will allow us to specify the design, colour, technical and other design features of the product that are of valuable for users, and we can explore communication channels through which users can be reached. In order to find the niche market we want to penetrate with our product, we need to have a thorough understanding of competing products. We need to look at existing products on the market, including their technical characteristics, distribution channels, price levels, aesthetics and usability, in comparison with our own prospective product, highlighting advantages and disadvantages, strengths and weaknesses. Our aim is to have a competitive edge for the product to be designed over similar competing products on the market by being more usable, more attractive, more effectively marketed and more eye-catching than its competitors.
Once the above information has been collected and analysed, the first stage of the design process can begin, where we create a series of design concepts based on the specifications provided by the client.
From the initial multiple design guidelines, a final product concept is developed through ongoing consultation and is ultimately finalised. The selection of concept sketches is supported by a large number of freehand drawings, and later computer-generated visual designs are used to facilitate decision-making.
Computer modelling plays an essential role in the development of designs, providing a realistic visualisation of the product based on measurements, analyses, colour studies, etc., allowing modifications and anthropometric adjustments to be made to the design at an early stage of the design process, and eliminating many potential design errors.
The visualisation provided by 3D modelling can be used for marketing and customer relations purposes and can be used to effectively present the product concept at an early stage, even during negotiations with sponsors and partners.
Another advantage of computer modelling is that it provides a digital product file of the product, which corresponds to the given design phase. This file can be used to create conceptual prototypes using digital manufacturing. A product development process typically involves several cycles of prototyping, always representing the current state of development. A major advantage of digital manufacturing is that tangible, physical models of up to several product variants can be produced at low cost, which can support effective decision-making about the design. Our company has a unique capability in rapid prototyping and 3D printing in Hungary.
In the final stage of the design, we provide the computer CAD plans to be forwarded to the production department, according to the customer’s requirements, and we prepare detailed design documentation and technical drawings of the completed design.
Once the design process is complete, it is possible to produce a prototype or a small series of the product. In this way, we can produce models with virtually the same appearance and the same physical and usability parameters as the product to be manufactured, which are suitable for presentations, trade fairs and lectures.
Instant3D is a smart manufacturing platform where we’ve brought all our different manufacturing technologies under one roof, so you can access our full manufacturing capabilities with a single click: our advanced industrial 3D printers, CNC milling machines, laser cutters, and even our mass production and metal casting capabilities.
